Policy wording
Your privacy is important to use. At Top Flight English (TFE), we follow a few fundamental principles, as follows:
1-we won’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it to provide our services to you, to operate within
the law and defend ourselves against legal actions.
2-We won’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law,
develop our Products and/or Services, or protect our rights.
3-We won’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
4-In our blogging products, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private and/or permanently deleted.
5-It is TFE’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information that we may collect while operating our websites.

Principle Term
This Privacy Policy explains how we treat your personal data and protect your privacy when
you use our Website(s), Products and/or Services. When accessing and/or using our website(s), Products and/or Services, you agree that we can use such data in accordance with this policy
and others regarding it, which we may put in place from time to time.

Website Visitors
Like most website operators, TFE collects non-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in doing this is to understand how visitors use our website. From time to time we may release non-personally-identifying information in aggregates form e.g., to identify trends in the use of our website.

TFE also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for any logged-in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. We only disclose logged- in user and commenter IP addresses as described below, but blog commenter IP and email addresses will be visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
When visiting TFE’s site(s), you may choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that TFE gathers will depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for a blog
at WordPress.com to provide a username and email address.

Visitors who engage in other transactions with TFE – which may include purchases, subscriptions or making a donation – are asked to provide extra information, including the personal and financial information as needed to process those transactions. We collect such information only
to fulfil the purpose of your interaction with TFE. You can refuse to supply personal information, but you accept that this may prevent you from engaging in certain website-related activities or from using our services completely.

You can update your account information at any time. We are required to keep business transaction data for accounting purposes for 7 years in the UK, which is not negotiable. When coaching and teaching clients we also keep records of the content of lessons and of student response to topics taught. Once this information has been entered into our records, it will be retained for three further years beyond the accounting obligations, to ensure we can defend ourselves in a court of law should anyone take any legal action against us.

Aggregated Statistics
TFE may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to our websites, and those viewing, accessing and/or buying our Products and/or Services. We may monitor our most popular blogs
or use spam screeners to help identify spam, and we may subsequently display this information publicly or provide it to others.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
We disclose personal information only to those third parties (employees, contacts, contractors and affiliates, for example), who (i) need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide services available at our websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose
it to others unless compelled to do so by law. Some of those third parties may be located outside your home country. By using any of our websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent or sell personal information to anyone, however, without your permission in writing in advance.

Other than to employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, we will only disclose potentially personally-identifying and directly personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of TFE, third parties or the public at large. In agreeing to these terms you accept this and agree not to hold is liable for any losses that you may suffer as a result of such a disclosure.

If you are a registered user of one of our websites and have supplied your email address, we may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with TFE, our websites, Products and/or Services.

We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or a feedback mechanism), we reserve the right to publish it to clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. You agree to permit this.

At TFE we take all measures reasonably necessary to protect you against the unauthorized access,
use, alteration or destruction of potentially personal information, but we cannot guarantee
this or that other visitors of our site(s), Products and/or Services will not copy, edit, publish
or plagiarise it. You will not hold TFE accountable for any losses you may suffer as a result
of the actions of other visitors or as a result of your own actions to our site(s).

Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. TFE may use cookies
to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of our site(s), Products and/or Services and
their website access preferences. Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers or refuse cookies before using our website(s), on the understanding that certain features of our website(s) may then not function properly and
this may limit your access and use of our website(s), Products and/or Services.

Business Transfers
If TFE, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that TFE enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge and agree that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of TFE may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Ads
Ads appearing on any of our websites or in our Products and/or Services may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to deliver targeted ads that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by FCE, but it does not cover the use of cookies by advertisers.

Privacy Policy Changes
TFE may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at our sole discretion. When these changes are made, we will post a notice on the website that a change has been made. The document will be given the date of the latest change in the change log below. You must check
our website regularly for these changes. If you continue to use our website after we have made
a change to our policies, products, services and/or fees, this counts as your acceptance of such these changes.

Privacy Policy for Top Flight English (TFE)

1-Please read these notice, terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using Our Service:
a-By visiting this website, you acknowledge that you have read these terms, that you have understood them and that you agree to be bound by them.
b-You must be at least 18 years old to access this Website or to purchase products and/or Services from TFE.

c-You agree that you are choosing to access the Services on our website for yourself or on behalf of an organization. In the case of the latter, you are agreeing to these Terms for that organization and confirming now to us that you have the authority to bind said organization to Our Terms of Service (in which event, “You” and “Your” will refer to that organization).

d-If you are under 18 years old or do not agree with these Terms, or, please do not use our services. If at any time you are not willing to be bound by these Terms, you should terminate your use of our services, following the terms set out here.

2-Fundamental approach taken by TFE regarding your data protection and privacy
a-It is TFE’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect about or from you while operating our website(s) and any server(s) and computers that we hold. We will only ask you for the bare minimum of information about you required to meet our legal and tax obligations and in order to run our business in compliance with the law.
b-No other or additional identifying information about you will be collected or stored unless you ask us to do so. If you make such a request, you agree that it will count as your permission to do so. We reserve the right to refuse to hold such information from you, for whatever reason. We will not share your personal data with anyone except to run our business and comply with the law.

3-Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information.
a-When visiting TFE’s site(s), you may choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information we gather will depend on the nature of the interaction, e.g. when you buy English tuition, we ask for your name and address for our accounting and we must keep for a certain number of years by law.
b-Visitors who engage in transactions with TFE – which may include purchases for example – are asked to provide information, such as personal and financial information needed to process those transactions. We collect such information only to fulfil the purpose of your interaction with TFE.
b-You can refuse to supply such personal information, but you accept that this may prevent you from engaging in certain website-related activities or even from using our services entirely. Example: you wish to buy an ebook, but refuse to give your c/card information. This will mean
you cannot buy the ebook and so cannot download and use it. Another example: we ask visitors signing up for a blog on our site to provide a username and email address. If you do not wish to supply an email address, this will mean you cannot contribute to the blog.
c-We will not be liable for any losses that you may incur by refusing to supply the required information that we would need in order to provide the relevant Product(s) or Service(s). or by your use of the site overall.
d-TFE may also collect potentially personally-identifying information, such as Internet Protocol
(IP) addresses for any logged-in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. You accept that blog commenter IP and email addresses will be visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

4-Aggregated Statistics
a-TFE may, from time to time, collect aggregated statistics about the behaviour of visitors to our websites, and those viewing, accessing and/or buying our Products and/or Services. We will only use this data to improve our services, and we will only share it with third parties or display it publicly or to third parties if we are required to do so by law or in order to protect our business and you from spammers, hackers and other dangers.

5-Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
a-We will only disclose personal information about you to those third parties (such as employees, contacts, affiliates, for example), who (i) need to know that information in order to process it in compliance with the law on our behalf so we can offer services to you and run our websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others unless compelled to do so by law or legal action.
b-Please note that some of those third parties may be located outside our and your home country. By using our site(s), you consent to the transfer of such information to them at your own risk.

6-Responses to the law
a-Other than to employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, we will only disclose potentially personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of TFE, third parties, the public at large, and/or you. In agreeing to these terms, you accept this and agree not to hold TFE liable for any losses that you may suffer as a result of such a disclosure.

7-Further use of your data
a-If you have supplied your email address, for example, we may send you an email to tell you about new features, gain your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with TFE, our sites, Products and/or Services.
b-You can ask for your email address to be deleted and we will comply, provided this is not a breach of any law that we must obey. If you send us an email, such as a request for support, we will reserve the right to publish it in order to clarify it and/or support other users. You agree to permit this.

8-Protection of your data against unwanted access
